In an effort to support literacy coaches in their various roles within K-12 schools, the Florida Literacy Coaches Association was formed in 2006. The association was created through a partnership between a select group of literacy coaches from around the state and the Just Read, Florida! office. The mission of the Florida Literacy Coaches Association is as follows: “Uniting literacy coaches to support and advocate for the literacy needs of all stakeholders in schools across Florida.”

Membership is open to any individual who shares our mission and is employed by a school district or school, both private and public, and is actively engaged in supporting literacy coaches, teachers, and the improvement of students’ literacy skills.
