| Digital storytelling takes the ancient art of oral storytelling and engages a palette of technical tools to weave personal tales using images, graphics, music, and sound mixed together with the author's own story voice. This presentation will feature student created examples and include suggestions for how to get started in your classroom using free software tools. | ||

| This presentation will examine the reasons and available research for including or not including graphic novels in a school library/classroom. The benefits and uses of the graphic novel in the classroom will be examined in detail. Topics to be discussed include: defining and describing types of graphic novels, reasons for using and teaching with graphic novels, and suggestions for selecting and using graphic novels. | ||
